This one had a regular nickel Gotoh tailpiece stock. I had a lightweight Gotoh in my stash from another guitar and it fit perfectly. With the guitar already weighing a paltry 6.8 lbs., I was worried it might make it bright but it didn't at all.

Yeah, I can't remember if the one I tried was a stock Gibson, or a Schaller... Either way, it din't fit.

Right on!

The funny thing is, the lightweight tail was originally for a import les paul(Yamaki Performer)so I was surprised it fit! It definitely helped open things up a bit.

I replaced the nut with bone on my Artisan and installed a Bill Lawrence L-500 n the neck position w/coil tap for some nice chimey rhythm sounds.

Default Them changes ....

Hello, this is my first post, so here we go !!!! Yes, LOVED my Robin Savoy, but didn't love the pickups or switching system. I swapped in pair of Duncan Seth Lover humbuckers and a whole new harness. These are two wire pickups so no coil splitting was possible or needed, just a three way switch and the vol and tone controls. I saved all the original parts so the guitar can be brought back to stock condition in about two hours. I have to say, this is now the best playing, best sounding semi hollow I have ever owned !!!! Dave
