That's right folks. YOU get first shot to sign up for the Robin Reunion Saturday Night Jam Session (Oct 2.) I will be MC'ing the Jam, and coordinating "who plays what next with whom and without what"... SO...
... Post or email me at smitty@robinlovers.com and let me know if you wanna play, what you wanna play, and if you need someone to back you up. If you have specific tunes we can "TRY" to get 'em forwarded to a bass player or somethin' and be thinking about how to best pull this off. I'll post a semi-official schedule as it develops.
Overall, I'll try to keep it "first come first served" but may shuffle you up or down a spot to keep everything flowing... Our goal is for everyone who wants to play to be able to play.
Also feel free to use this thread to find someone else to play with you at the jam.
More SOON!

(looks around)
Davey, I think we are the only ones that really know about this whole jam thing. We'll play in F# double flat. THAT'll teach 'em.

Well, I don't know about that, we'll have to ask the judges...
Anyway, so far the list for the Jam is Greg. Stevie, Allen, and me. <grin>
Okay, not so true. Ken Jones is workin' on a few things, also plan to see Bart Wittrock wailing on a tune or two (Goldtop Avalon maybe???) Word is that Joel Gregoire will be joining us, and I'm gonna tell ya, I don' care if you like shred or not, watching Joel perform "Chop Shop" is a bee-utiful site to behold. I think it defines the Medley guitar. You can hear the tune here:

I'm expecting one incredible night of Robin strings... I suspect we'll hear 30 or more guitars before the night is through.

If I can make it, how about Day of the Eagle and Too Rolling Stoned? I'll sing. Drums and bass can basically play whatever they want except for a funky polka beat (now Greg is plotting). I can sing for you guys too. The Geddy Lee stuff is over for me, but I can still hit the high notes. Back-up and keys too, if need be. I'd love to meet all the Forum Folks.
I really will try to make it. Now, which Robin will I bring? Hmm.

Dave....
Look at the date of the thread.

Okay, so I won't be making it. I tried "travelbackintime.com" and all the flights for that date have already departed! So, any chance for a reunion this year (2008)?

Okay, so Greg was waxing nostalgic and I didn't look at the dates of the thread. Two bachelor's degrees, a master's degree, and I'm still f'in stupid. If Greg got a good laugh, I'm okay with it! Seriously, I wonder if there will ever be another reunion. I sure hope so. I'm in double digits with Robins. It would be fun to meet all the "folks".

Ah, the convenience of distance between the moron and his buddy Greg. I laffed 2. Now, where's my neck? I know, just above my shoulders and just below my melon.
