After careful consideration. I have decided not to sell my robin machete. It's actually priceless if you think about it.

I had a blue swamp ash as well. I bought it direct from Robin. Scotty had 3 made in that color. I know Scotty too. He's a cool cat. Oh well, I sold my cherry burst a few months back and just wanted to see if the guy had already sold it. I got it for 350.00 in 1994. Of course it was totally beat from the big buckles he would wear. I had it re-fretted buy Ross Jenning of JT Guitars. Scotty plays those as well. Very nice.

Well I got it from Greg in Austin. Yes it's totally gouged on the back. It looks like somebody tried to color in the cherry color with a marker. Bad bad idea. But the guitar will get used and be cared for very well. I hope to meet Scott sometime maybe I can get him to autograph it. Who knows? Check out my band site www.kranklive.com (http://www.kranklive.com) I will post pictures of me playing the machete. Later!

Hey Ya'll,
Yep, that looks like my 'ol boy.
In fact the neck pickup looks to be the one that I originally had in there. I had Steve Bleucher from Dimarzio custom make the pickups that were in this Machete as well as the trans blue Machete.
Hey Bourget Rider does the trans blue Machete still have the blue pickups in it?
I traded off some of my Robin stuff a couple years after I left Robin. I did trade 1 or 2 of them at a pawnshop on Riverside for an old Marshall half stack and a 71 Les Paul Standard.
Dave and those guys make awesome guitars thats fo sure!

No when I got it it had PJ Marxx in it. I kept getting a 60 cycle hum from them, no matter where or what amp. Ask Michael Warren, about the time he electrocuted me by walking next to me when we were both playing our Machettes' near each other! The push pull pots kept shorting, so I took it to Ross Jennings of JT. He cured that prob....I put a JB in the bridge and a Pearly Gates in the neck.
