I've bought from Ebay and am fixing up an older Japanese Medley, serial number 7001.

What year was this Medley made/imported, and from which maker? Thanks, -Lee McGee

Unfortunately, Japanese serial #'s offer little info. If you post a picture we could probably figure it out.

Here are pictures of the mystery Medley #7001. The guitar is a solid medium blue color, with maple neck and fingerboard. The blue finish has very subtle and very tiny silver metalflake in it, almost unnoticeable except for the sheen it gives. The truss rod cover has a white outline.

I have the origin Floyd Rose base and sustain block, the base says "Mfg. Under Floyd Rose Pats." (san serif) and "ROBIN" (serif) engraved on it in plain block lettering. The sustain block is labeled "TAKEUCHI" in capital italics. -Lee

It's a Japanese Medley. Probably made by ESP (or was it Chushin? - Dave?) between 1986-88.

It appears to be all original.
