Added a Tonepros AVR II bridge, TonePros steel locking studs, Pigtail aluminum tailpiece and some DR strings.

Right now, being me is cool.

Hello Greg,
The guys from "King of the Hill" are all shaking their heads in awe and approval over your new guitar. Boom Hauer is mumbling something about wanting to hear a jazzy version of " Little Wing " . Congragulations to you on that one of a kind awesome guitar . Robins Luthiers are truly incredible.

It rips. Imagine a Les Paul with breath. Wonderful, whiskey sustaining breath.

Oh, you've PLAYED it?

I'll give you $600 for it.

$600? Is that it?

Greg just gave his left testicle to get it. Is that all someone's manhood is worth?

Smitty
02-11-2005, 11:54 PM
Mine will be worth about half of that if another guitar shows up at the house this month. Even so, the offer stands.

How would you sneak them out of your wife's purse, anyway?

I'll offer $600 and the contents of Smitty's wife's purse.

Ken Jones

That's why I always had my guitars shipped to the office...

Outstanding Greg! Work of art. Hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

BCRGreg

Oh, it does.

Soon to sport two volumes and a tone control...

Ken Jones
02-14-2005, 12:20 AM
Yeah - you can't do that über-cool feedback on/off thingy with only one volume control.

Personally - I usually have any guitar I'm gonna gig with modded to have only one volume and one tone - this usually involves just disconnecting some wires and leaves it with a stock appearance.

Too many knobs is too much for me to worry about.

I was unsure of the new inlay design, but now that I see it on the finished product...AWESOME, the guitar is really nice...I am almost jealous (still love my goldtop)!

Well, its my 2nd time around commenting on this guitar . The Luthiers who created this guitar did a blessing of art :-)
Really man , the wood , color , finish is so incredible its like the Sistine Chapel of guitars. I have seen many guitars from other luthiers along this niche . However , this one is the Holy Grail in this niche :-)

I know you own a music store ...

& you have to be financially motivated in your music
purchases what with payroll to meet & all ...

So with my advanced SUPER POWERS OF REASONING ...

I'd say you bought this FOR YOURSELF!!!

I know your wife "The Financial Wizard" would most likely AGREE!!

LOL

I'll give you $650
(or $50 more than whatever Smitty's willing to pay)

BCRGreg

OH MY GAWD, YOU ARE PSYCHIC!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

Smitty offered 30 cents and a "slightly used" piece of Juicy Fruit.

Not for sale, even with such great offers as the ones above.

I have seen some really high end guitars in my time. Some even in the $3000-$10,000 dollar range.A few even in the $15000-$25000 that are as hand made as it gets. However, even those don't compare quality wise to the Robins I see on here . You guys have some awesome, incredible guitars ;-)

Man Greg I really want to make that reunion.
I had two freaking months off this summer with a
stinkin Hernia & now I'm workin my rear end off
building a house I had to leave sit there. If I
can get the son of a gun built & finished up
by the reunion I'll darn sure be there ... but it'll
be a squeaker!

Then it'll be Avalon's at 30 paces!

Newer pic, with the added volume control.

http://robinlovers.com/discus/messages/6/1992.jpg

Now it's (from the bridge) Bridge vol, neck vol and tone.

I NEED seperate volumes. The routing and tomfoolery was worth it, but Dave sez that a change may happen in the basic spec of the guitar.....
