First, let me say "Welcome to Robinlovers..."
Our own Ken Jones will probably pop up later today and give you the full run down on it. Looks like a great one.

Freedom II. Made in Japan by ESP c.1985. This one is from the earlier series with chrome hardware (later models had black hardware). Active electronics - there's a battery compartment on the back of the body.
I'm not sure if the color in your photo is accurate, but it might have been refinished - light blue was not a stock color.
IMO - these were/are some excellent basses. Great players. Here's a photo of mine:

Awright!!!!!
More ladies! WE NEED MORE LADIES! Too much testosterone around here. LOL Welcome, Amy. Nice to have you here.
Looking at that shot, I'd say that bass is probably more Seafoam Green than light Blue.

One of the stock colors was "Pearl Mint Green" - so maybe it is that color.
Like I said - the colors in the photo appear a little "off" so it's hard (for me) to tell.

Thanks fellers - and thanks for liking my band! The bass is my favorite - and it's competing against a 70's Rick. And it's definitely pearl mint green - the guy who sold it to me for $450 said he could have gotten twice that if it were black, since mint green is not not a favorite dude color. Btw, I have never used the active electronics and am sure the battery is dead - what would it do for me if I replaced it? Not a gearhead, as you can tell. Thanks for all the info! Oh - and those red Robins are just lovely!

It will take that already whoop ass sound your getting and make it whoop ass times two, albeit in a different way. Stick a nine volt in that suckah...Chances are good you'll begin to buy batteries in bulk afterwards.

Guys don't know color at all.
Toss in a nine volt and hold on.

My main guitar is sea foam green, and I'm 6'6'',and a few cheese burgers shy of 280lbs.So,colors don't make the man,or woman,it's the soul that eminates from the fingertips.Slap in a new 9v,and you'll probably have to adjust your settings on your amp!Welcome

Hey Doll,
The vocals on Bombon are superb. You've come

pride in these marvelous instruments ... not to
mention their parties ... of which I'm the
flake ... till next year... dammit

Anyone remember "Letters to Cleo"?
Man I saw them after arriving late to an
Ammet Zappa show... I caught them in a small club
here in Philly & the singer looked like little
Bo Peep in Combat Boots & then she opened her
MOUTH & BLEW THE HOUSE DOWN... what a great
band...
Hey... you Girls ROCK!!

Letters to Cleo was a Bud Band the same time my old band The Missiles was a Bud Band. We opened a bunch of dates for LTC in the northeast, and when they came to Houston they opened for my band at this little dive called The Edge Bar. They stayed at my house for a couple of days when they were here. The two bands I'm in now each cover one of their songs ("Mellie's Coming Over" & "Disappear").

Greg, this is the slowest moving forum I visit. You may never get an answer to your question.
A good looking babe arrives, and the board just lights up...
Understandable, of course.

I've heard of him.Where's he from?

I really don't know.
I initially found him on the Tone Tubby website.
He apparently helped them develop the Hemp Cone
speakers. Then I was doing a little looking into
Two Rock amps & he's there on that website too.
He plays great Lap Steel. Very nice stuff.

Check this out... looks like a total Blast.

He's playing this year's Jam Cruise ...
Tell me that wouldn't be a great time!!

Hemp cone speakers, eh? Imagine how much fun the research would be!

Hey now!
Stuff's no good man ... got anymore?
Looks good though... the Hempcone's.
Hemp is the strongest natural fabric.
The break in time is supposed to be a bit long &
people complain about the speakers a while.
All of the rope & sails on Sailing ships were
made from Hemp for centuries bacause it's the
only natural fiber that would hold up to Sea
conditions...
They claim that they're Alnico speakers that are
nearly identical to the Vox Celestion will take
50 watts a piece because of the improved
qualities in the Hemp paper.
at $275 each... Screw it... I'll stick with my 25 watt Geenbacks...
I've owned most all the great vintage Alnico's. Altec, Utah, Jensen, Oxford, JBL, Fane... Celestion.
It wasn't a matter of cost but Greenbacks are
still my favorite .. The fact that they're $65
each well hey... let's eat CAKE .. course now
they're MADE IN CHINA
What the ?!?!
I have kept a set of '66 Gold Vox Jennings
Alnico Bulldogs (50 Watt Oxford's from an AC-100)
in my Leslie's
The rest I sold....
You know they're asking nearly $6000 for a new Two Rock Custom Signature head?
This guy Kimock's a great player but they can blow it out their .... yo
