Smitty,
Make sure your medical insurance is up to date, 'cause when the BCR contingent arrives, Houston Texas will never be the same.
And that's a gar-rown-tee!!
Oh! The humanity!

We are bringin' more Bullsheet, since you guys have used up the last batch.
Anyway, the new Avalon Custom(the main purpose of this thread) is one cool looking guitar. I'll "Tone Report" y'all when it arrives....

Vince called me up and we brainstormed a cool Avalon....Goldtop over rock maple, chambered mahogany body, scraped "binding" and natural back and sides, BBQ and GT pups.
THE fool thinks I'm gonna actually send it out! NAH, I'm gonna KEEP IT!!!!!!
(more spooky reverb)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! !

"Uh, yeah, Vince...you're guitar was supposed to be here today but I don't know what happened. What's that screaming electric guitar in the background that sounds like a chambered Avalon? Oh, uh, well, uh, that's the silver one we got in today... Gotta love these blueblocker glasses, eh?"

Smitty, you're just plain SILLY.
I wouldn't be dumb enough to call him, I'd just MOVE.

Very funny fellas!! I heard it ships today!!! I can't wait to get it. With my Bogner Shiva 1/2 stack, I'll be getting full clean sounds and absolutely crushing overdrive tones. All the things a growing boy needs. It will eat Les Paul's for breakfast. Greg, I may just bite the bullet and have you overnight it. I got the biggest gig in my life happening on Sept 25...a private party for 600 at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga CA. I'll be bringing the Robin, and must get to know her a bit. I'll post pics soon.

I am dying to see Vince's guitar. It is quite special.
Oh, yeah, the reason for the thread!!!
The buyer of the Avalon Custom went with a different guitar without seeing this one in person(I had a really cool guitar from another company that he saw elsewhere).
The AC is available.

Dave,
I have an early Avalon with a fantistic flame maple top, BBQ's, and Dolphin inlays. What is the difference between my guitar (which I would call "Custom") and the current Avalon Custom? Mine is posted under "Show Us Your Robin".
Note: This is one fantistic guitar.

Hi Ed,
Only difference is the new ones have the capsule-shaped pickup mounting system vs. traditional rectangle pu rings. Actually, since yours is obsolete, just send it on over here and I'll dispose of it for you.

The new pickup mouting idea is BRILLIANT. Imagine, between sets changing to P-90s from Buckers.....
