I'm sure most of you know about Gibson suing PRS for the Singlecut. Gibson has been making Les Pauls with embarassing quality at truly ridiculous prices for few years now. Smaller quality minded manufacturers ( Robin being one of them ) have been making " Les Paul Like" guitars that play and sound like a Les Paul should. I for one am grateful for this.

Gibson refused to build a better guitar at a fair price...instead they sue...and win. Instead of doing honest battle by building a better axe, Gibson took the cowards way out and relied on the parasites of our society...lawyers and courts! What sissies!! The PRS singlecut isn't even the best one, but they probably sold more of them than the other instrument companies, including Robin ( The Avalon being my personal favorite ), Baker, Hamer etc...

It just burns me up that our courts, and the people who participate in them have become so stupid that they could ruin things for us all.

I hope this ruling will be overturned in the appeal process...not because I am a fan of PRS, but for the principal that a company should be successful for building the best product at a reasonable price.

I agree 100%, this was a cheap (but not inexpensive) way to avoid simply improving their quality control, and exorbitant prices.
I own 3 PRS, including a Singlecut, but this lawsuit hurts all the large and small builders who are doing a great job.

Vincent,...What do you mean by the Prs singlecut isn't the best one? Why do you think Gibson sued them and everyone was buying them? It doesn't get much better than this!! I only paid $2,775 for the Amber singlecut and it has the Brazilian neck. Why would anyone want to by a Gibson when you can get a better guitar with a Brazilian rosewood neck for less money than an overpriced Les Paul! Talk about a Gibson Ultima how about the Ultimate Axe a Prs 2002 Dragon. If you've never played a singlecut with a Brazilian neck then you owe it to yourself to do so, and then when you do, tell me that it isn't the best one!!

I have played several singlecuts, and as I think they are better than a Les Paul, the Robin Avalon plays and sounds better to my ears.
