I've just found this site. It's nice.
I have a TBSB just like the one here. I don't know much about them, and don't know what the number is. I'm out of the country at present, but will check when I get home. How can I date my guitar?
thanks

Post a photo!
All Artisans were made in 1985.
The serial number is inside the control cavity. It will be a number between 0001-0125.
Do you have the OHSC for yours?

I can't just now as I'm out of the country. There is a couple of pix on my bands website under various pix 2. I'm the guy with blue shirt.
A couple of my Marshall amps are on there also, and my LP Gold Top. www.redcortinas.piczo.com (http://www.redcortinas.piczo.com) Ignore the crowd, they are a bit mad at times
I'll try and get more pix and a number when I get home. I can't believe it was made in 85 as it's in a very good condition. I'm not sure if to the OHSC I've got, but it looks like the one in your pix, but there's no name on it.
I'm well impressed with the Robin

Can anyone tell me what the contruction is? I feels quite light compared to my LP's. Also what pickups are fitted to the Artisans. From this site I can see that some are covered HB, and some like mine are uncovered.
thanks

Pickups are Gotoh. The only Artisans that had covered pickups were the black ones with gold hardware. Go here for more info on construction materials:

Thanks Ken. The guy I bought it off reckoned it was semi hollow or something, ie sound chambers.
It does have a lovely tone and plays well. Also it's different because most folk want to go for the more mainstream names. There loss. I fancy a Savoy, but I think they would be expensive new.

I've had a look at the number it looks like #0048.
The case is the same as the one in the pictures above.
