Just curious as to why this model was discontinued.. I had one custom made back in 97,,( see pics in the gallery), and would be tempted to order another with different options.. I love the ash body, but would like to try an alder one with a different tremolo setup.. I suppose the Ranger with a forearm contour would be an option??? That being the only personal dis-favor of the Ranger is the flat top..
opinions anyone??

Hi,
I am not up to speed on the history of that particuler instrument. However, I do know that Robin is much more flexable with doing a custom order then most mainline guitar dealers today. If it can be done they will do it :-)
Listen, give your Robin dealer a call with your specifications`and see where it takes you. Sounds like you really like that model and want another with some slight wood changes and trem system .
Perhaps locating another one ( Try posting a wanted ad in the For Sale/ wanted section ) on this website will help. From there you could get another and at least go with another trem system. Get a good luthier to do it.
Here I go again , " Please support a smaller dealer" in your efforts for a custom Robin. We are all small pieces that make this all up.
Pardon my opinions... I hope some of this will help your efforts. This is really a great website with some really good people.
thankyou,

Robin is out of the copy business. The Revival was too F**der and not enough Robin.
