Avalon Neck vs Savoy Neck Thickness

After selling my almost new Avalon because the neck was too big, I saw and played a Savoy Classic that had a thinner neck. It was awesome! Is this difference in neck thickness normal?

The few that we've had have been thinner than the Avalon.
